NewSpace 2011 will again be held in Silicon Valley again this year




Guillermo Sohnlein

Managing Director, Space Angels Network. Guillermo Sohnlein has spent almost ten years in leadership roles with various technology startups in the Washington D.C. area as well as Silicon Valley. He is currently co-founder of Seattle-based OceanGate, an ocean exploration venture focused on supporting marine research with manned submersibles and underwater remotely operated vehicles. Previously, he was Co-founder of a San Francisco-based speech recognition application development firm that was acquired in 2001. Guillermo is the Founder of the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs, an online community focused on promoting global entrepreneurship in space ventures, which was recently transferred to the Space Frontier Foundation for ongoing growth. He served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate and currently serves on various Advisory Boards and teaches entrepreneurship. Guillermo earned an A.B. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
